Updating Rail Systems
Updating rail systems is another option for a dramatic change at a low cost. Simply removing the existing, outdated balusters, and replacing with new wood or iron balusters, can provide a Classic, Craftsman, Tuscan, or Contemporary look and feel to your home at a minimal cost.
Overlay
Many staircases allow us to perform what is called an overlay. This entails removing the existing carpet from the stair, if any exists, and covering with hardwood treads and risers. Without the need to remove your entire stair, this method can result in the look of a new custom staircase at a much lower cost, and a fraction of the mess.
New Rail System
Many clients are looking for a new rail system to be installed over a new or existing stair. On occasion, a builder or homeowner will have another contractor construct a staircase in the home, but the contractor may not have the background to follow up with the rail system. This is something we are always happy to do, as it will provide a code-legal and safe rail system for you and your family.
